Ingredients
- 1 cup lemon juice (~6 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- lots of ice
(Two Glasses At A Time)
Steps
- squeeze the lemons well
- make simple syrup, equal parts water/sugar
- in a measuring cup, add 1/2 cup simple syrup
- add ice (it will melt) until it looks about 2 cups total
- stir, stir stir
- when you’re sure it’s cold, add 1/2 cup lemon juice
- add half to cocktail shaker, and shake, shake, shake
- pour
- repeat for second glass.
Notes
- the ratio you’re shooting for is 1:1:3 lemon juice, syrup, water
- better to go a little over than under with the ice
- if you don’t have a shaker, you probably want more water, as the shaking is meant to dilute the strength.
