Ingredients

  • 1 can tomatillos (450g yield)
  • 3-4 jalapeño chiles (100g)
  • 1/2 white* onion
  • 1 big fistful of cilantro (size?)
  • 3 big-ass pieces garlic, 4/5 small
  • Salt to taste (~1/2 tsp fine salt)

Steps

  1. remove tomatillos from tin, take out of water, put in blender*
  2. bring small pot of water to boil
  3. boil: chiles, garlic, onion for 8 minutes
  4. remove and put in blender with cilantro, salt and lime
  5. save 1/2 cup liquid, add to blender)
  6. blend
  7. lime/salt to taste
  8. if tomatillos are fresh, you must also put them in boling water
  9. if no blender, in bowl/ 600ml container for immersion blender. if no immersion blender, i guess
